There's still time to get away for a ski weekend this winter - check out The Boulder Ski Escape! Ski Eldora Mountain Resort, and there are a whole bunch of Boulder hotels and motels offering great deals on rooms.

Located just 21 miles west of Boulder, Eldora Mountain Resort is Boulder's backyard ski area. The base area of Eldora has an elevation of 9,300 feet above sea level. Top elevation is 10,800 feet. Or if you're sick of snow...

If you're looking to get away from the snow rather than getting to it - think about a weekend getaway in Scottsdale, Arizona. You can find a lot of pre-designed packages, or you can design your own, depending on what you're interested in. One of the great things about Scottsdale is the incredible variety of things to do there. From touring the Grand Canyon and hiking in the desert, to incredible golf courses and amazing spa resorts, and anything in between.

The Boulders Golf Club features two 18-hole championship golf courses, designed by Jay Morrish, considered some of the most demanding in the Southwest, known for their rugged beauty and breathtaking panoramaPublishs. The Raven Golf Club at South Mountain is internationally acclaimed for it's dedication to quality golf, service, and group outings. Created by former US Open and PGA champion David Graham and golf architect Gary Panks, Raven features plush, rolling fairways framed by over 7,000 mature pine trees.

If southern charm is more your style...

I'd suggest Milledgeville, Georgia for it's great historical tours, charming Georgia bed & breakfasts, traditional dining, and numerous antique stores. Wander through museums, have lunch in a sidewalk cafe, browse Milledgeville's antiques and gift shops, but above all, just relax and enjoy the southern hospitality.

Or do you really just want to play in the ocean?

Of course, I can't think of a better way to spend a weekend than snorkling in Pensacola Beach, Florida. I'm too much of a chicken to try SCUBA diving, but for those of you brave souls out there that love it, you should check out the recently reefed USS Oriskany - now the largest artificial reef in the world! It's also a great fishing spot for grouper, snapper and amberjack - so there's something for all the water-lovers in your family!

I'm always a fan of a nice bed and breakfast - but the Pensacola Beach Resort with it's waterfront view is one of my favorite places to stay in Pensacola Beach. Or if you travel in your own accommodations, there are some great RV sites and campgrounds in Pensacola Beach. It doesn't really matter where you choose to stay in Pensacola, since you're going to spend most of your time in the water or on the beach!
