Winter Holiday Performances in Fairbanks, Alaska

"Santaland Diaries" - A rollicking holiday comedy for adults!

Fairbanks Drama Association presents a holiday classic by David sedaris. Featuring Juneau actor Ben Brown. Two performances only (not part of the regular season package). Theatre Box Office opens at 9 pm for walk-up sales both nights. Advance ticket purchase recommended.

"The Nutcracker" - a Holiday Tradition

The North Star Ballet presents its 20th full-length production of Tchaikovsky's holiday classic, "The Nutcracker." The production will be one weekend only and features more than 70 local dancers from 21 schools. Meet the cast in costume at a party after the Saturday matinee.

Christmas Open House at Capital City/Lake Murray Country Visitors Center

The Historic Lorick Plantation House steps back in time to Christmas season 1840 for our Annual Holiday Open House. Area Garden Clubs - including the Quail Valley, Harbison, Coldstream, and Lexington Garden Clubs along with the Newcomer's Club of Greater Columbia - transform the already regal home into a Christmas haven with period decorations, including live and dried plant materials. The sounds and scents of Christmas come alive and our guests are treated to refreshments and opportunities to purchase Lake Murray items. New this year ... the Cultural Council of Richland and Lexington Counties will host a local Art Show during the Open House. The artwork will be on display in the Museum and throughout the Center for our guests to meander through and shop with local artists.
